American Marketing Association Monthly Events

I served two terms as the Vice President of Hospitality for American Marketing Association - Indianapolis. In this position, I was responsible for booking venues and securing catering for 2 monthly events: an "AMA in the AM" networking-based coffee chat and a presentation-based speaker series.

In 2023, I secured the first-ever recurring catering sponsorship for AMA in the AM with Tinker Coffee, meaning coffee and pastries were provided by Tinker on a monthly basis. AMA in the AM meetups showcased different venues in Indianapolis, who lent us their space in exchange for getting natural and career marketers in their space to spread the word about their organizations. Notable venues I worked with included Hi-Fi, Borshoff, IU Indianapolis, and Industrious at The Stutz.

For the speaker series events, I worked closely with the programming team to find venues and catering that appeal to the speaker's target audience. We hosted events in spaces across Indianapolis: The Fountain Room, presentations at Hotel Indy, Hotel Tango, Kan-Kan Cinema, Five Iron Golf, The Speakeasy, and more. Marketers heard from experts in the industry, connected on shared wins and frustrations, and got a taste of the variety of stellar venues and food and beverage offerings in Indianapolis.
